WHAT IS MIDEM ?
Midem is the international market where music industry-related deals are made. Every year, it invites labels, publishers, artists, producers and promoters from all over the world to share new trends and make deals. Get in the game: 6,950 participants, 350 journalists, 78 countries, 600 artists and over 19,000 tweets compose this huge event!
Cutting-edge technologies and major brands will also be joining for panels, matchmaking sessions, networking, midem hackday, midemlab or the midem marketing competition.
Of course, live music plays a huge role: over 100 international artist showcases will be mere footsteps away. While the musicians of tomorrow rock your Cannes nights at midem off, international will serenade you at the midem festival, located in our new venue, the Magic Mirrors, right outside the Palais des Festivals.
This is the moment for music lovers and professionals to discover new sounds, collaborate on new projects, and get inspired.

MIDEM FESTIVAL
More than just a festival, midem festival unites music professionals and the general public for a unique event.
In its 2nd edition, midem festival now takes place in an ambient new venue: The Magic Mirrors, composed entirely of wood and mirrors.
From Saturday the 26th to Monday the 28th of January, nine exceptional concerts will be open to all midem participants and invited members of the general public.
midem festival has prepared an electrifying programme for each evening, mixing prestigious international artists and a fine selection of promising new talent, right off the tradeshow and beside the Croisette.
Before the concerts, make new friends and business partners during our happy hour networking events, with energetic DJ sets, between 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm.
midem in partnership with indaba music are delighted to announce the two winners of the midem live 2013 competition.
Yes Sir Boss are Stoned Records first signing. Yes Sir Boss have cultivated a truly original, distinct and indefinable sound that has elements of everything from a brooding Balkan blues band to a horn injected indie rock outfit. They will be on midem festival stage Saturday 26 January next to Asaf Avidan and Madness!
Endah N Rhesa is a husband-and-wife duo musical project comprising acoustic guitar, bass and vocal from Indonesia. The musical nuance that Endah N Rhesa tries to bring out is folk, jazz, blues, rock and roll, and ballads. Endah Widiastuti (vocal, guitar) and Rhesa Aditya (bass) started to play together in 2004 as a duo, and the feedbacks toward their music were tremendously positive. They will be on midem festival stage Monday 27 January next to Balthazar, Lou Doillon and Archiv
CLASSICAL EMBASSY
At midem off, the classical embassy will take place in a unique and atmospheric venue in Cannes' centre, where networking and music mix harmoniously.
Over three thematic nights, from Saturday the 26th to 27th Monday the 28th of January, promising young artists will showcase their talent to midem participants and a B2C audience.
James Jolly will host each evening, supported by distinguished ambassadors like Christa Ludwig, Alain Lanceron, Eugène Prim, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Alice Sara-Ott and Gerrit Glaner.
MIDEM OFF
Labels, publishers, brands, promoters, agents, and other industry leaders will be congregating at midem off to share ideas and create dialogue. Join midem off's international community of music lovers and professionals!
Open to everyone, midem off consists of 3 nights, 5 venues and over 80 showcases at the center of Cannes. From 9.00pm to midnight, the world’s most talented artists will showcase their music.
At midem off, there’s something for every genre: pop, rock, classical, electro, and jazz; pick your pleasure. It's also an exceptional way to expose your artists to exciting new opportunities.
